The girl tattooed with “The Garden of Earthly Delights” Isn’t what It seems to be!

What seems to be a photograph of a girl showing off her Hieronymus Bosch-inspired tattoo isn’t a photo, but an incredible oil painting by Polish artist Agnieszka Nienartowicz, a creative reproduction of the highest work of the Dutch artist born in the fifteenth century.
Bosch’s figures, expertly painted in oil by the young artist, show the fall of man, contrasting with the delicate beauty of the young woman depicted, who offers her back like a canvas for the painter. Nienartowicz’s work follows a modern trend, which sees the return to figurative painting in contemporary art.
Even if it’s a hyper-realistic painting, there is still a painterly touch evident, a creativity that is expressed in the interpretation of the ancient master through the eye of a “disciple” of the 21st century: by combining old and new, she strives to achieve the perfection of the Old Masters.
The figures are creatively interpreted to be adapted to the vertical surface of the woman’s back. The detail chosen by Agnieszka Nienartowicz is the one that shows people, in the central / left, and has the aim of creating an artistic oxymoron between the beautiful back of the woman and the fall of the man depicted by Bosch. The contradiction between the beauty of the work and the “perdition” that it depicts is explained by Nienartowicz “Humans are full of contrasts and contradictions, they want to do good and instead do evil”.
