Beithir Fire, the world’s strongest beer with an incredibly high alcohol content

2 min read

Beithir Fire, the world’s strongest beer, comes with a warning label urging consumers “not to exceed 35ml in one sitting” because of the incredibly high alcohol content, to avoid intoxication and potential health problems.

Ok. We agree all alcoholic drinks should be consumed in moderation, but that goes double for extreme concoctions like Beithir Fire, a beer so strong that is rated at 75% ABV (Alcohol By Volume)!
This Scottish-style barley ale is brewed for two months and then blended with pure Scottish spirit before undergoing fermentation and triple filtration to remove all impurities.
Launched in 2021 by Scotland’s 88Brewery, it quickly achieved legendary status because of its extreme alcohol content.

“At 75% ABV, Beithir Fire is officially the world’s strongest beer,” the 88Brewery website reads.
“This beer is not for the faint-hearted, it is recommended to enjoy in small doses of 35ml measures. We are not responsible for the risks you may take and don’t encourage you to be the hard(wo)man.”

Beithir Fire is not only the world’s strongest beer but also one of the most expensive ones, at £45.95 ($58). Is it worth that price? It depends on personal preference, of course, but at 75% ABV, probably you’ll be less concerned with the taste, and more with the burning sensation in your throat!
As the warning label states due to the extremely high alcohol content of the beer it should be treated with respect and handled responsibly.
