1908 ππΌ Lieutenant General Robert Baden-Powell publishes “Scouting for Boys” as a manual for self-instruction in outdoor skills and self-improvement. The book becomes the inspiration for the Scout Movement.

1935 ππΌ 1st canned beer, “Krueger’s Cream Ale,” is sold by American company Krueger Brewing Co.
Krueger started selling cans in Richmond, Virginia, on this day, based off an innovative new design by American Can Company that had been invented about fourteen months before Krueger began selling the product.
When Krueger delivered 2,000 products of the new product to their faithful drinkers in November 1933, 91% of drinkers gave it a thumbs up. The deal was sealed, and the world was introduced to beer in a can.
