Did you know that you can buy this electric Mini Pickup Truck for just $5,500?

If you’re looking for the cheapest electric pickup truck money can buy, you should definitely check out this bargain on Chinese marketplace Alibaba: an all-electric mini pickup truck for just $5,500 (on February 2021).
Manufactured in China under the obscure brand “R&Z” this pretty little electric truck sits on 12-inch wheels, has a maximum payload of 500 kilograms and featured a 1.6m long bed.
Of course not the most impressive features for a pickup truck, but keep in mind that this costs a fraction of the price of any electric truck developed by western brands. Moreover, it does offer a cozy two-person cabin, air vents (air condition costs extra), adjustable seats, seatbelts, LED headlights, radio, and metallic paint. Oh, and also the 110 km (75 miles) range of its 72V and 7.2 kWh battery pack!
Recently, we also featured the Changli EV, which some automotive enthusiasts called the world’s cheapest electric car, at just $930 that could also be ordered on Alibaba, and you could have it delivered to your doorstep.
You can’t opt for the same delivery option for this super-cheap pickup truck, but that’s definitely not a deal-breaker. Even counting the cost of shipping to the US (around $1,500 – $2,000) it’s still a bargain!
This no-name mini pickup seems to be based on the Pickman truck, a Chinese model already being sold on the US market, but for a much heftier price ($10,000). This cheaper version looks pretty much identical, and has most of the Pickman’s features.
The cheap pickup has a maximum speed of 40 km/h, and its lead acid battery pack requires between 8 and 10 hours to fully charge after being completely drained.
Despite it may not be a competitor for upcoming electric trucks like the Tesla Cybertruck or the Ford F-150, this mini-truck is no joke. Just take a look at what it can do, by watching the video below….
